About Us
HISTORY
Air Accessories was established in 1967 and has been trading from the present address since 1980. We also have branch sales offices in Manchester and Scotland. We began marketing Bosch pneumatic equipment in 1978 and, following Bosch's acquisition of Rexroth Fluid Power Division, we now offer an extensive choice of products from the huge combined Bosch Rexroth Pneumatic range. We have now become the U.K.'s leading Distributor of these products.
In our Sheffield factory we manufacture Bosch Rexroth ISO VDMA pneumatic cylinders from 32mm to 250mm bore, often at very short notice in response to breakdown situations. Because they are made to the internationally recognised ISO VDMA standard, we can produce a cylinder to replace any ISO VDMA cylinder within 24 hours to include Parker, Norgren, SMC & Festo. We also provide a pneumatic cylinder repair service for most makes of cylinder to include: Bosch, Parker, Metal Work, SMC, Norgren, Martonair, Festo, Origa, Matara, Pneumax, Camozzi, Bimba, Baldwin.
In addition to Bosch pneumatic cylinders, we also manufacture a range of products known as our 'Z' Series. The 'Z' series products are heavy duty in design and application and usually found in heavy engineering, agriculture and aggregate industries (including cement, bitumen and brick production), these products are interchangeable with other leading brands of similar products. We can also manufacture other types of cylinder to drawings, patterns or samples provided.
More recently we have been appointed Distributors of Bosch Rexroth Linear Products. Ergonomics for the workplace, which include extruded aluminium sections and components (described by some as a modern 'Meccano' system) for use in the construction of frameworks, assembly work stations and machine guards. Turnkey projects are undertaken from the design stage (using in-house C.A.D) through to final assembly and installation.
In addition to Bosch Rexroth Pneumatics & Linear Technology, we are also a key distributor for Metal Work pneumatic equipment as well as many other manufacturers, to include; SMC, Festo, PCL, Wade, Norgren, Martonair, Clippard, Pneumax, Baldwin, Origa, Crane, Mead, Domnick Hunter, Mead, MAC Valves, Parker Pneumatic, Herion, Burnand, Burkert, PIAB, Ross Valves, Ross Pneumatic and Wilkerson.
We have a fully-equipped machine shop to include: CNC milling machine, centre lathes, conventional milling & slotting machines, enabling us to manufacture special 'one-off' parts to a drawing or sample. We regularly refurbish rollers and shafts and make up special parts for machinery in the food, drink and dairy industries. We offer a refurbishment service for most types of pneumatic equipment, from valves and cylinders (including rodless cylinders) to air tools and gripper units.
